Work In Progress Wednesday!

So here we are it is WEDNESDAY! As a teacher I am so excited for today because we had a three day weekend which means we have a shorter work week! It is exciting because even though we are two days into the work week I know we only have two days left for the week. I have been thinking about Valentines day and want to make something that can be placed in my ETSY shop! I am loving the sweet 3D hearts to place on hair clips. These are just big enough to make a statement but not too big to take over a child’s whole head. I am so excited to list this and see if  they sell. These are for sure going to a few people I know with little girls! As far as my knitting projects they are still on the needles. I have not finished or started any new projects. I was really motivated to get one of the larger projects done but then got an uneasy feeling that the person with whom the gift was going to would be ungrateful for all the hard work, time and effort I have put into the piece. Once I am up to it again it will get done and who knows maybe it wont even go to the original owner I had planned on!

My Sister’s Wedding!

So this past weekend my sister and her high school sweetheart TIED THE KNOT! I do admit I did give her a hard time about the bridesmaid dresses saying they looked like homecoming dresses. I had never seen the venue so I didn’t know how formal the venue was. Everything looked and worked amazingly well together. The wedding was very much her style. She wanted all jewel tone colors and I think she had a really nice mix of color between the flowers and the color or the dress. We had a BEAUTIFUL and warm day. All of our family came in from the midwest and was sitting out taking in the sun. I was so grateful and happy to be apart of the wedding and send up next to my sister and now brother-in-law! Now they are off to their Honeymoon in St. Maarten and St Lucia. I hope they have the time of their lives! I leave you with a very fun and beautiful picture captured at my sister’s wedding.

Work in Progress Wednesday

I had every intention of posting this on Wednesday. I went home and took pictures and loaded them onto my computer then was too lazy to post them into the blog. So here I am Monday of the next week and after my sister’s BEAUTIFUL wedding. This is what has been sitting both in my project bag and in my queue to post!

So here we are again it is WEDNESDAY! I am so excited for this weekend as I have extended family coming in for my sisters wedding. So crazy to think she will be married this weekend. (I will be sure to post some pictures and the details.)

I have a few projects that I am working on this week. A good friend of mine had a sweet baby boy last week and I am trying to finish his blanket. I am so happy she had a boy as the color of yarn I am knitting makes me think of a boy.

Hat

I also have a hat in progress. This hat will be one that will be posted in my ETSY account. I am LOVING the stripped hats

Once this hat is complete I already have the colors for the next one picked out. I am so excited to see what it will look like it is a taupe color with a beautiful purple.

This cowl was made after I had made one for myself. This will also be listed on my ETSY site this week!

Finished project

This week I also finished up a mustard colored braided ear warmer. I really like the way it turned out and would like to make a chunky braided cowl. (That is in the works currently.)

Work In Progress (WIP) Wednesday………. I mean Thursday!

I had great intentions of posting this yesterday but I am publishing this post TODAY! I have decided that one of the goals I will be working on for the up coming year is to post AT LEAST weekly on my blog. I have seen posts on other blogs about their current projects that they are working on so I decided to jump on the band wagon. I will be posting every Wednesday with the current projects I am working on be it that I am knitting, blocking, have a finished a project, or am reading a book. I think this will be a great way for me to see how the progress of a project is coming along.

This week I have a few items that I have finish blocking and are reading to list on ETSY and also ready to send.

I am currently working on several projects but, the two that need to be finished are a blanket for a good friend of mine and also a new cowl. I am loving the golden Madelinetosh yearn for my cowl.
